Saigyouji Yuyuko! My pictures don’t do her justice. For once, I won’t complain about the lack of accessories of a Touhou Nendoroid, because Yuyuko comes with a lot of extras. But I know the next one (Cirno) will be somewhat of a letdown again. Can’t help it, I want them all nevertheless ^^;

Agnes Boulange 1/6 (Volks)

When I pick a kit for myself to build and paint, you can be sure that I REALLY want to have it on my shelf. And although I know nothing of the character Agnes (from Shukufuku no Campanella), I love her elaborate design. Volks has created a Campanella GK series and they’re all very pretty. It’s tempting but I’ll probably refrain from getting them all. With about 5 kits I can finish per year, I have to pick them carefully. It’s not like I don’t want to build more, but winter makes it hard to sand and paint without catching all the poisonous fumes and dusts. And building GKs is very time-consuming.
This time around I tried to use laquer-based paint and I have to say I’m impressed how smooth the paintjob becomes. Which means my comprehensive GK guide will have yet another section on paint. orz I’ll never finish this guide… There’s so much more to learn and I’m faced with new challenges with each new kit.
GSC Senjougahara Hitagi 1/8
What arrived today is Good Smile Company’s Senjougahara Hitagi. She was released this year in January and was on sale at AmiAmi over a month ago. So after 40 days in transit, she’s finally here. I bet everyone who follows a bunch of figure blogs is tired of pictures of her already. But I don’t get figures often, so here’s a bunch of pictures of Hitagi.
More Shirt Stuff: T-Shirt Logo Ideas!
As one of our dear old projects i’ve ever wanted to finish will probably never go live i’d like to use this post as a kind of memorial: I’m talking about www.shareshirt.de which was thought to become a free (as in free speech) T-Shirt logo sharing site. Everything would’ve been high quality vectors and licensed under creative commons or similar license, we’d have links to all the large printing companies and nobody would be depandant on “spreadshirt shops” or anything idiotic like that anymore. Sadly we/i don’t have the time to implement those ideas anymore, so i’ll just link it to this post and always update it. Maybe, just maybe there will be a day when a real sharing site goes online on that domain … But back to shirts, hers the overview:
But theres more! Everything including the vectors in the nice vector format “svg” will be found inside.
DIY T-Shirt printing? No Problem! (almost)
After a long dry season of posts here on blog.kanojo.de i proudly announce yet another garage-tinkering-tutorial: How to print t-shirts yourself. While this may not sound special or new at all, the technique we’ve chosen required a lot of fine tuning to yield *PROFESSIONAL* (and by that i mean really really REALLY good) results. So i considered it worth sharing.
While i must admit that i make a equipment-assumption that may not be the case for most, you can work your way around it. What i’m talking about is that recently a cutting plotter moved into this household. A cutting-plotter is almost like a normal plotter – except that it doesn’t paint or print the paths (read: vector-files) you give it, but cuts. For those who don’t know what a plotter is – imagine a printer that is able to print on a infinitely long roll of paper and doesn’t print per line, but prints a arbitrary path (e.g. a sphere, bezier curve, etc.) at a time.
1/8 Steins; Gate Makise Kurisu (Kotobukiya)
My latest figure acquisition is Kotobukiya’s 1/8 scale Makise Kurisu from Steins; Gate which arrived this morning. I do feel a bit guilty for not having followed the series this season but it’s on my plan to watch list for later. I took a little more time for doing the photos and it wouldn’t be quite as bad if I wasn’t too lazy to iron the background o/ (I’ll do that next time).
How can people wait to take a photo of their monthly loot? Whenever a packet arrives I want to rip it open right away.
Youmu Konpaku Nendoroid
Here’s some half-assed pictures of unpacking Youmu (still trying to figure out how to handle the camera and all). I was in hurry that day which didn’t help and I’m not very patient with blogging now (exam and paper deadline in a week! I’ve tried to push everything behind that date that could be delayed so workload is not gonna stop anytime soon). We actually have been trying out a lot of new things lately but we were mostly too lazy do document everything. Hopefully we can do that later sometime.
Quick: Custom sprayed shirt for a mustang fanboy
This is gonna be a real quick post since we haven’t had the time to document the process nicely as the deadline for this gift was really tight (few hours Oo). A friend really loves Ford Mustangs and always wanted to buy a old heap of scrap and make it run again … well, we … Read more
Chen 1/8 Trepang

It’s been a while since my last GK gallery post but the weather is improving and I can finally work outside which makes it all more enjoyable. So mayble I’ll actually get something done. This time it looks like I’m running out of kits, there’s one kit waiting to be finished and a few preordered (no idea when they’re going to be released). I’ve waited for Chen about a year too, E2046 has a wide range of kits but that also means you have to wait quite long for a kit which is not so popular.
Chen is an easy kit with few parts but mind you, building GKs is a lot of work nonetheless so I’ve spend a full week building her.
A more detailed WIP post will follow tomorrow although I don’t have as many photos as I’d like to have. I just happen to be too lazy when messing with tools and paint to wash my hands and fetch the camera.
So today here’s Chen’s gallery for you to enjoy 🙂 Nyan~
