Poring Plush

We’ve made two Porings and two Poporings already and this is a wonderful plushie for beginners. Having seen Ragnarok cosplayers run around with Porings at a convention, I was determined to buy one too until they told me the ones they were carrying were self-made. I wanted one myself at first but all Porings I’ve made so far have been given away and this one also had a home before it was made.  If you want one as well, drop me a comment (or a mail) xD. I love making those and they come in green, dark blue, light blue or orange if pink doesn’t suit you ~

You’ll find a lot of Poring plush tutorials on the net and I already forgot which inspired me. This is how it works best for me:

Companion Cube Plushie

So this is what I’ve been hiding for two months from NebuK (which was given to him as a birthday gift): a Weighted Companion Cube plushie from the game Portal. Literally everyone who has played that level is infatuated with this cube… I mean, it has pink hearts all over! And you have to carry it through the whole level. It just has to grow on you. Unfortunately, I don’t have any progress pictures. It has been hard enough hiding and making it without someone noticing who lives in the same room. Hey, for once I’m proud that I managed. Couldn’t help that our friends and maybe everyone in university knew about it since I did most of the work while lectures (NebuK was sick in bed at those two days ^^;).

Nyamo~~ nya nya fuwaaa~ Plushie

Plushie-time again, it is!

This is one of the awaited chrismas present tutorials, a gift we’ve made for a good friend who happens to like everything thats cat-ish, especially – of course – if it has its origins in otaku-culture, like this:

Nyamo and Miyuki (figure)
Nyamo and Miyuki (figure)

We decided to give a Nyamo (the small catish thingy) a try and make it. As a base we used the well known Poring Plushie pattern, attached ears and tail, cut the right face and swoosh, there it was. But step for step for now…

Apple of Archer

IMG_6704

Hey, Eefi here~! I made one of my favorite headgears from Ragnarok Online! This plushie emerged from the attempt whether the sewing pattern for Poring’s body works for other not so regular shapes as well. Apparently, it does although I had to make a few changes. I don’t have any in progress pictures since I wasn’t sure if it’d work out and I’m not that keen to make a second one in the near future. The arrow is a somewhat of a pain to make and everything has to be sewn by hand! (Which is the major downside because it takes ages!) If you’re lucky and your sewing machine is tamed to the extend so you can sew veeery slow, do it with the machine. Our’s isn’t, making every curved stitch nearly impossible.

Also, there’s no pattern this time.

OC Bunny

Bunny Plushie Header

My first selfmade plushie pattern turned out to be the original character bunny-thingie of a friend. (Hey, I don’t have any website to link back to give you credit! If I see you again sometime I’ll gladly give this one to you.) This first try actually turned out all right, so here’s my first tutorial.
